An old closed up warehouse. This is where the trail had led him.

Rowan tried the handle. 'Of course. That would've been too easy.' His nose crinkled as he looked around for another way in. Eyes leading upward he noticed a window not too far above a large crate.

Climbing up the grate wooden box, Rowan reached up to the window ledge and pulled himself up. The board sealing up the window was loose. Pushing against it he made his way inside.

'Now let's see what we've got.' Jak sat down on a rafter he decided was clean enough. As he relaxed against the cross beam and hummed lightly to himself while opening the leather map case. He got quiet again as he looked over the plans, carefully committing them to memory.

"This should be fun."

Hopping from he window, Rowan landed softly, staying crouched down as he glanced around. He sniffed the air and listened carefully, deciding where to go.

Mostly the air was stale, but there was a faint scent of his target. A small grin tugged at his lip as Rowan moved along the wall.

Jak's right ear twitched and he looked up from his loot. He sniffed the air and frowned a bit. He put the map back in the case and set it back in his pack. Standing up, he sniffed the air again. He leaned against the beam and smirked, visually fading and melding into the beam.

-Sniff-

The sent was definitely in an 'up' direction so Rowan slowly began climbing the stairs to the upper level of the warehouse. He looked at the first room on the landing, raising an eyebrow curiously. He moved inside, looking around for... anything really.

*his tail flicked as he looked around. He smirked on another thought and took one of his signature rock totems out. About 2 inches high it looked like a small chibi fox. He jumped down, landing quietly, and set the totem in a clear spot in the middle of the floor where it would be seen. Next to the totem he placed a beer. Then climbed back into the rafters and visually melded with the beams again.*

Rowan stepped out of the room with a frown, there was nothing of use to him in there. 'God, at this rate its gonna take all nigh-..! Whats that?' He perked up, tail curling upward a bit as he noticed something different from before.

Rowan glanced around before hopping down to investigate the small items. Not seeing anything he hopped down, landing softly. His eyes shifting about as he curiously moved closer to the things.

Jak grinned widely as he watched Rowan. He thought about it, 'how long has he been chasing me...? Has it really been almost a month? I need a break.' He mentally told himself to shush and went back to watching his newest tail. He always did love a good game of cat and mouse.

Raising a curious brow at yet another tiny statue, this time with a beer next to it. An amused grin turning his lip. 'Ah Jakie, you're too kind.' He chuckled to himself, looking up again.

'He's here somewhere. Come on Jak... Make your move.' Rowan thought to himself as he knelt down, taking the items. Turning his head as he listened for any movement.

Jak shook his head. 'Honestly...'

"You know, Rowan, it's kind of rude to take gifts it you don't want them. Take a break man. I don't know about you. But I could use a drink too."

Jak looked down at his pursuer and smiled warily letting his cloaking fall.

His eyes shot upward when Jak spoke. He smiled upon seeing his target.
'If you want it Jakie boy...' Rowan set the beer on the ground next to him. Standing and taking a step away from it as he waved his hand toward it. 'Come and get it.' He thought to himself, watching Jak closely.

*he shook his head* That one is for you. You've earned it. *he pulled out another beer* I have one for me. Care for a timeout? Even you've got to be tired.

Rowan raised a curious brow. 'What's he trying to pull? He slowly moved to the bottle he'd set down, keeping his eyes on Jak. Picking it up he stood again.
'Maybe if I play along he'll come down.' Taking a seat on a nearby pile of tires.

*Jak smiled sincerely* There, that's better. *He sat down on the beam and popped open his beer taking a swig. He kept an eye on Rowan, not entirely sure the break wouldn't be used as a chance to jump him*

Oh, are you hungry? I've got some jerky if you want some. *he pulled out a package and took a bite of the jerky both as a gesture of good faith and cause he was hungry." Running on an empty stomach is no fun. Course, running on a newly full stomach isn't fun either. *he added thoughtfully*

Confused and still untrusting, Rowan's brow knitted slightly as he shook his head, waving his free hand to decline the food. 'What are you doing?'

His eyes glanced around quickly, trying to find a quick path up to Jak as it seemed he might not be coming down. They returned to the primary focus though, not wanting to lose sight of him again.

*Jak sighed and shrugged his shoulders* Alright, you're choice. Not my fault if your stomach starts growling though. *he took another swig of his beer*

So what's my bounty up to now anyway? *he swung his feet from the rafter as he munched the jerky*

Rowan opened his mouth as if to answer, but closed it again. His forehead wrinkling as he pondered how to answer the question.

Jak quirked an eyebrow. "How do you not know? That is why you're chasing me, isn't it? For the bounty. Unless you just like chasing booty" He grinned and winked.

'No! That's not.. gah.' Rowan waved his hands wildly in a 'no way' fashion. His cheeks flushed a bit. Opening his mouth and shutting it again as he looked up at Jak motioning his hand back and forth from his throat to his mouth.

He looked curiously at Rowan. "Three words....'I can't talk.' Wow, I knew my butt was cute, but to render you speechless. I'm flattered." *he smirked again* And a cute blush when you're called out about it too. *he laughed*

His cheeks where still a bit pink, but Rowan pursed his lips, one eye opening a bit wider then the other as if to say 'seriously?' Which is what came to the wolf's mind.

Jak laughed and shrugged again. "Alright, fine. If you want to stay in denial." *he winked* Should probably learn sign language....*he thought to himself for a moment while taking another swig*...would you mind laying off for a year or so. Let me learn something to talk to you with? *he tilted his head questioningly*

*She slide around a corner and looked into the room. Was Rowen really talking to the bounty? He was really making picking on him way to easy. But at least he was proving to be a good distraction. She pulled out a stun gun from her bag and shot at the wolf boy before he could get a chance to see her. Hopefully it hit.*

Jak's ear twitched right before it felt like something stung him in the side. He flinched away from the area he felt the pain from and searched for the cause. He pulled the dart out of his side and looked where it came from.

"Well that was really rude..."

He jumped down from the rafter, landing a bit heavy as his senses started to blur. He looked up at Rowan with an almost pleading look.

Rowan's eyes snapped from Jak to Calli as the boy was hit with the dart. His eyes narrowed. 'Thief! Oh shit. Jak!' Jumping up quickly, he moved toward Jak. Fully intent on tackling the boy until he cooperated, until Jak looked at him like that.

Rowan stopped for a moment as Jak's pleading eyes pulled on his heartstrings. 'No! Snap out of it Rowan! He's just a bounty, don't get attached.'
