As they ran Jak saw a place that looked vacant and dry.

"Rowan, in here," he yelled to the man in front of him as he turned to the pool house. He glanced over his shoulder as he ran for the door. 'Please follow me.'

Rowan looked to Jak and changed course, it looked as good as anything, so long as they get somewhere dry. Following the boy to the pool house, he glanced around, hoping no one would happen upon them.

Jak shut the door behind them and looked around. Seemed empty, that was good. He glanced quickly through the other rooms and found a lounge chair in the process. After staring at the pool oddly for a moment, he grabbed the chair and drug it out to the other two.

"Put her down here." He motioned to Rowan.

While Jak was looking around, Rowan knelt down, trying to maneuver Calli up against him as he examined her head. A little blood, not gushing or anything. 'Damnit..' He looked up at Jak as he came back, a bit of irritation shown in his eyes. He lifted her up again, placing her in the chair. Rowan reached behind him, grabbing his pack and digging through it.

Jak flinched when Rowan went for his back and had to force himself not to bolt. Instead he moved closer to the woman. His ears drooped a bit as he looked at her.

"...is she okay?" He looked from her up to Rowan with an honest worried look.

Rowan pulled out a bottle of liquid and some linen bandages. Pouring some of the liquid onto the cloth he then gently cleaned the wound on her head. Glancing to Jak as he worked.

He didn't know the answer to Jak's question, but so far it didn't seem too bad. The bleeding had already stopped so hopefully she'd wake up soon.

Jak held back the woman's hair as Rowan worked on her head. She seemed alright. She'd probably have a lump though. He frowned. What had gotten into him? He'd never attacked someone before. 'Speaking of attacking...' Jak did a quick search on the woman and took away any weapons he found on her. "Nasty things," he muttered at the gun while putting the items in one of his satchels for disposal later.

Rowan watched as Jak searched Calli over. Not thinking it was a bad idea to disarm her, what with the club to her head and all. She might be a little peeved when she wakes up. When he seemed done however, Rowan held his hand out to Jak as he gave the boy a serious look, wanting the items he'd just taken from her. She might be mad about the head wound, but she'd be furious if all her weapons and tools went missing.

Jak quirked an eyebrow at Rowan. "Oh, you must be kidding... No offense, but I don't think we're on that level of trust. How do I know you won't just use them on me? Or her? Or return them to her to use on me?"

His eyes narrowed and lips pursed, giving Jak a stern look as Rowan's hand bounced in a quick short motion to emphasize 'gimme now!'

Jak tried to asses the situation quickly. Checking to make sure the woman was still out he leaned close enough to Rowan that their noses were about a hand's width apart. Searching Rowan's eyes he talked in a quiet voice.

"I'm kind of freaking out here and don't want to have to worry about you too. Can I trust you?"

Rowan looked right back into Jak's eyes, as sincerely as he could, and nodded. 'Come on, please. I don't wanna have to fight you for it.'

Jak sighed. "Alright. But I'm keeping that stupid gun. If she wants it back that bad she's going to have to promise me herself that I won't be shot again." He shuffled through the bag and held the items out to Rowan.

'That sounds fair.' Rowan nodded, holding his hand out for the stuff. As Jak handed things to him he set them on the ground and slid them across the floor behind him, unless it looked too breakable, so they weren't within his reach either.

He didn't want to scare Jak anymore then they already were. Especially since he seemed just as lost as Rowan was.

Jak watched Rowan slide the items away and nodded, "thank you."

He sat beside Rowan facing the woman. "Now what...?" He looked around. "This place smells weird. Where the heck are we?"

Rowan let out a heavy sigh, sitting on the floor now, from kneeling. He shrugged, looking to Jak. Then pulled up his bag again, sifting through it. He pulled out his own bag of jerky, taking some out and offering it to Jak.

Jak smiled at Rowan and took the jerky. As he munched on it he had a though.

"Be right back." He stood up and walked to the room that he had drug the chair from. A few minutes later he returned with a bunch of towels, some robes, and some random clothes. "We should get dried off. Last thing we need right now is to get sick." He set the pile in front of Rowan.

Looking up at Jak, a smile creeped across Rowan's face. 'Thats a really good idea.' He moved for the pile, grabbing a towel and draping it over his head.

As he dried out his dripping wet hair he looked up at Calli. 'I should probably dry her off too.' He got up, grabbing another towel and tossing it over Calli.

Jak smiled back and put a towel over his own head. He looked at his drenched clothes and decided to change out of them. He turned away from Rowan and quickly shuffled out of his own clothes into some of the ones he had found. He looked down at himself. "Well, it'll work for the moment I suppose." He picked up his clothes, rang them out and laid them out so they would dry. "You should change too. Then we can change her."

He nodded in agreement, taking off his items and clothes. 'These are.. different.' Rowan thought to himself as he put on the dry ones. Draping his towel over his shoulders, Rowan moved for Calli. First drying her hair out a bit, being careful of her wound.

Jak moved to help Rowan with the woman. He helped sit her up motioning for Rowan to exchange her shirt for one of the robes.

"You really can't talk, can you? I sometimes wondered if you just didn't want to talk to me," he said in a soft voice.

Rowan unlaced Calli's top, getting it off of her then grabbed the robe from the floor. He shook his head in response to Jak's question, glancing up at him quick, then away again.

"Sorry for teasing you about it before." He helped Rowan dress Calli and stood back up. He picked up all the wet clothes, pushing the pile of towels to Rowan. "Cover her up good." He rung out the clothes and set them to dry with the others. He quietly watched Rowan for a moment then walked back over.

"Do you think we should tie her up?"

He grabbed a few towels from the pile and wrapped them around Calli. 'Is that good enough?' He thought to himself.

His brow raised at Jak's last question. He stared at him for a second and a half then shook his head.

Jak returned the raised eyebrow.

"You know her? Do you trust her?"

He sat back down and watched Rowan for an answer.
