Room 116: meanwhile, back in Oz, Toto was onto something

The lock retracted. Turning the knob as he slowly opened the door. 'No lights...' Rowan carefully stepped into the dark room, easing the door shut behind him.
An overturned chair, papers scattered; fallen on the floor, broken lamp lying on the floor; it was still plugged in. Someone left in a hurry.

'Damn..' His eyes dropped, letting out a small disappointed sigh. The target must have moved on. 'Oh well.. back to stage one.' Rowan knelt down, sifting through the papers, looking for something to point him in the right direction.

At hearing the door open she looked up quickly. 'Damnit, Damnit all' It was bad enough that she had no magic powers and that was why the guy got away to begin with but now there was someone else here and she still didn't have this nasty cut on her arm fully looked at. She slide off the toliet and scooted towards the bathroom door. She opened it carefully and slowly as to not make a sound and looked out into the main room pulling a knife from her back. She ignored the pain in her arm or the blood running down it.

'Pfft! A phone number. What am I going to do with that?' He tossed it aside, looking through the rest. 'Useless, junk, no.. Hey!' A smile washed over his face, and his tail wagged a bit upon finding a list of addresses. His tail soon stopped dead again as a familiar sent hit his nose. 'Blood?'

Looking toward the bed he saw it. A small bit of blood on the carpet. Rowan stood, moving to examine it further.

She saw the edge of a figure move and bite her lip. Whoever it was looked bigger then her. She slide back into the bathroom slowly trying to think of a plan. The knife wouldn't work, they where bigger and who knew what they could do. More intel that is what she needed. She looked around for her bag and cursed under her breath when she realized it was out in the room. Well if only something could go right.

He knelt down, touching the blood. 'It's fresh, they must not be far.' Peeking around the other side of the bed Rowan noticed a familiar bag. His nose crinkled as he realized who's it was and that she must be after his target as well.

'Damn it all..' He quickly reached down and grabbed the bag. Then headed toward the door, cramming the list in his pocket. 'She's not gonna get far without this.'

She slide to the door and looked out to see them leaving. Sweet, wait was that her bag. "Dammit" She mumbled she wouldn't' get far without her bag. She had another one stashed but not in this town. now how to get it back. Well since every other weapon she had was in said bag she guess a direct approach would be best.

She stepped out of the bathroom casually though inside she was a bottle of nerves. "You have my bag." She said softly and casually letting the knife stay visible in her hand.

'Crap! She's still here!' His brows raised and he flinched with surprise at her voice, but didn't turn to look. Instead he bolted, flinging the door open and running down the hall. 'This one's mine!'

"God Dammit" She said again and slide the knife into the holster running after the guy. She was glad she pick pants for this gig and not a dress, that would have been harder to run in. Also harder to hide the knife. She grabbed a pillow case off a lady's cleaning cart as she ran and wound it around her arm tying it as she ran. "Dude, just drop the bag. I promise I won't follow you." She yelled after the guy with her things. He was starting to look familiar.

He slid as he tried to round the corner, just a bit past the stairway door. He flung open that door as well and made with the speed as he ran down the steps. Too fast as he neared the first landing, Rowan smacked into the wall. '..ow..'

She hit the door with her shoulder and almost fell. Her vision blurred for a second and she missed a couple of stars luckily she caught her balance and only landed on her ass on the bottom star. "Owe.. Son of a bitch." She looked up. "Now listen her you sl... Rowen?"

He shook his head, trying to get rid of the stars from knocking his head, along with the rest of him, on the wall. 'Shit.. ow!'
Glancing down at Calli as she fell beside him, Rowan pushed himself off the wall. Determined to get away with her stuff. He made it down about two steps before he stumbled and rolled down the rest. Landing at the bottom, he rolled onto his back. Bearing his teeth as pain washed over him. 'Son of a- fucking god dammit!'

She stood up and ran down the stairs her arm screaming at her from all the abuse and already leaking through the pillow case. She knelt down next to Rowen and tried to slide her bag out of his hand as she knelt over him. "Rowen, honey; no killing yourself over a girls things."

He laid there, biting back the pain. Glaring at her as she took the bag back. He then glanced away, scooting himself back to sit up. His bow knitted together, angry at himself for failing so hard.

She slung her bag over her good arm so it was secure then moved closer to him. "You ok?" She asked worried about him. She liked Rowen though she wouldn't ever tell him that. She reached up with her bad hand forgetting about the blood on it to check to see if he had bruises.

He nodded, waving his hand at her, not wanting her to fuss. He was already embarrassed enough. He slid back, leaning against the wall. He took a short breath and held it as he pulled himself to his feet. Oh, he was sore everywhere.

She stood up and looked down at him. "Well, hope you didn't break anything." She moved to start down the stairs but stopped to look back at him. "You wanna tail him together?" She shouldn't ask but she was hurt, and her disguise was blown. If only it hadn't been a bring him in alive gig she would have had him last night.

'Seriously?' He raised an unbelieving brow at her. He was still untrusting of Calli. Thinking she'd tag along, he'd do all the work and she'd take off with the bounty. Rowan shook his head and waived both arms in a 'No Way' fashion.

She shrugged her shoulder and played her ace as she started down the stairs. "Fine be that way, I'll just take my little GPS tracker and leave." She kept waking slowly hoping he followed but planning on what to do if he didn't. Dammit it all her arm really hurt.

'GPS?!' His eyes lit up. Glancing down at his pocket, where the list of about eight addresses was, Rowan bit his lower lip thoughtfully. She'd get there ages before he even got through half that list with a tracker. 'Oh!...' Rowan clenched his fist and followed after her.
